From March 8 to 9, 2025, the 2024 Comprehensive Review Meeting for the Building Materials Science and Technology Award, jointly established by the China Building Materials Federation and the Chinese Ceramic Society, was held in Wuhan, Hubei Province. The meeting was attended by Li Yeqing, Executive Vice President of the China Building Materials Federation, Executive Director of the Expert Committee, and President of Huaxin Cement; Academician Nan Zewen of the Chinese Academy of Sciences; Academicians Jiang Desheng, Miao Changwen, Zhang Lianmeng, Fu Zhengyi, and Liu Jiaping, along with 15 other chief experts and members of the Expert Committee. Liu Jianhua, Vice President of the China Building Materials Federation; Jin Zhanping, Vice Chairman of the Chinese Ceramic Society; and Wang Fozhou, Vice President of Wuhan University of Technology, also attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the review experts conducted a rigorous and objective evaluation based on the core criteria of scientific and technological innovation quality, performance, and contribution. They assessed projects across multiple dimensions, including significance, innovation, advancement, and economic and social benefits. The experts unanimously agreed that the Building Materials Science and Technology Award, as a comprehensive and authoritative national science and technology prize for the building materials industry, has become an increasingly influential platform. The quality and quantity of this year's nominated projects have notably improved, highlighting new achievements in independent innovation within China's building materials industry.
